This Privacy Notice explains how Ohustle ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use our platform ("Service"). Ohustle acts as the data controller for the personal data described here.

1. Data We Collect

• Account data: email address, username, password hash, authentication provider.
• Profile data: display name, bio, avatar, preferences you configure.
• Match content: audio recordings, transcripts, and AI-generated feedback from your pitch, debate, mentor, and simulation sessions.
• Usage and telemetry: pages viewed, features used, ELO and match results, error logs.
• Device and network data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers.
• Support communications: messages you send us.

Payment card details are collected directly by Paddle and are never stored on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To create and operate your account (contract performance).
• To provide match, mentor, and simulation features, including AI analysis of your sessions (contract performance).
• To maintain rankings, badges, and public leaderboard entries you opt into (contract performance / legitimate interests).
• To secure the Service and prevent fraud or abuse (legitimate interests).
• To improve features and troubleshoot issues (legitimate interests).
• To send transactional emails and, where you consent, product updates (consent).
• To comply with legal obligations (legal obligation).

3. Who We Share Data With

We share personal data only with the following categories of recipients:

• Merchant of Record — Paddle. Paddle processes payments, manages subscriptions, calculates taxes, issues invoices, and handles refunds and disputes. See Paddle's privacy policy.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers. Backend hosting, databases, real-time signaling, and storage used to run the Service.
• AI subprocessors. Transcription and large language model providers that process your audio and text to produce feedback and mentor responses. Session content is sent to these providers only to generate the feature you use.
• Authentication providers. If you sign in via Google, that provider shares basic profile information with us.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Match transcripts and AI reports are retained to power your history, replay library, and founder profile. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

5. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States and the European Economic Area. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your data (right to erasure).
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and Row-Level Security on our database — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. Payment provider (Paddle) may set cookies during checkout.

9. Children

Ohustle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email.
